Each part is tested in 100 marks computer based exams through Prometric Centres around the world. The percentage given above is the weightage of Marks in the Exam.
Both MCQs and Descriptive sections are there in the exams, both the exams are 100 marks each to be completed in 3 hours. A minimum of 72% is required to pass the exams. Answering the Questions on time is the most challenging and key factor of getting through the CMA Exams.
Only 3 years are allowed for clearing both the parts once you register for the CMA- US course. Otherwise you have to register again to get entry for the exams.
THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR CMA-US
A Bachelor’s degree or a professional accounting degree is preferable to enroll for the course. However, plus to passed students doing preferably B Com / BBA degrees can also enroll for the CMA- US programme and take the exams. One has to be a graduate with minimum 2 years’ work experience and pass both parts of CMA Exams to get Qualified as a CMA.
